In the last 8 and 9 of July 2011, the Caju community participated in the first edition of Arraiá de D. João VI promoted by Multiterminais in partnership with Vila de São Lázaro Grêmio Esportivo do Caju. This social responsibility project was a huge success: more than four thousand people attended the event.
More than a moment of celebration and joy for the community, the julhina party project provided the creative development of children who study in public schools in the Caju region. They participated during a month of artistic education workshops in the classroom, to create and produce the decoration of the camp, from the scrap of the port of Rio provided by Multiterminais.
In addition, the families in the Caju neighborhood directly involved in the project were responsible for managing the party's food stalls and games, taking part of the income collected at the event, which provided an extra source of family income in the month of July.
To close the first edition of the Arraiá de D. João VI project of Multiterminais in partnership with the Vila de São Lázaro Grêmio Esportivo do Caju, in August, a thank you party will be held for the children of public schools in Caju that embellished the community's "arraiá".
