The ship Zhen Hua 21 brought the new Super Post Panamax Portêiner to the MultiRio Container Terminal, the maritime terminal of the Multiterminais Group.

The port equipment was built by ZPMC, the largest Chinese manufacturer of port cranes, and will start operating in March. The Porteiner is 115 meters high, equivalent to a 38-story building, weighs 1,500 tons, has the capacity to lift 65 tons of cargo, being able to handle 2 containers at the same time and capable of handling containers on the largest ships in operation.

The acquisition is part of the expansion plan for the Multiterminais Group Terminals in Porto do Rio, which aims to meet the new demand, increasing efficiency, space and improving services.

In addition to the new portainer, the acquisition of new patio handling equipment, expansion of container storage capacity, new cargo warehouse, new terminal access gates and other operational improvements are planned.
